Registration for the first Art Bytes programme, which will run in the academic year 21/22, is open until the end of December 2021. The competition is open to all primary, secondary and special schools based in the nine regions of England (North West, North East, Yorkshire and Humber, East Midlands, West Midlands, Greater London, East of England, South West and South East).
There are two eligible age groups for entries – Year 5 and Year 9 (Year 12 coming soon!) There is purposely no theme for the artwork entries to make it easier for you to fit it into your existing schemes of work.
To join Art Bytes is quick and easy. Complete the online sign up form below and wait for email confirmation. Your school will be invoiced for the entry fee (£195 + VAT) in January 2022, then we ask for entries to be submitted by February half term. See here for more details on how the programme works, find out why you should take part or download an information leaflet.
Taking part in Art Bytes also supports your Artsmark journey. Artsmark is the creative quality standard for schools and education settings, awarded by Arts Council England, recognising their commitment to high quality arts and cultural education. As an Artsmark partner, we can help you inspire children and young people to create, experience, and participate in great arts and culture.
We will keep in touch throughout the competition stages with regular updates and reminders by email. There is also a teachers information sheet in the Teachers Resources section which outlines the stages of the competition and what you will actually need to do. If you have any questions please get in touch.
