Our school is in rural Dorset, nestled amongst beautiful countryside. Art is important to our students, as a place to be allowed to make creative mistakes and learn from them, to become independent thinkers and embrace our skills as makers, using many types of art forms in KS3 and KS4.
Year 9 have been studying the pattern making of Eduardo Paolozzi and constructions of Louise Nevelson. The images that students investigated were then made into a collagraph print using two colours from Paolozzi’s colour palette.
Students photocopied their prints to make a collage . Some students changed their colour palette on the photocopier, to have a wider range of colours in their developed art work. Others chose to work into their art with fineliner pens.
