'Inspired to Learn - Supported to Succeed'
Hardenhuish is an 11-18 co-educational comprehensive school set in the magnificent parkland of the former Hardenhuish Manor. We enjoy an enviable reputation locally and nationally as a high performing academy, and value the creative arts as both an academic and extra curricular subject.
Our Year 9s have developed exciting ceramic sculptures based on their own childhood memories and experiences, allowing our pupils to create truly personal pieces. Inspired by the work of Grayson Perry we've used a range of techniques such as slab, coil and scraffito and experimented with glaze application. As well as their own identity, we use the world around us for inspiration and some students have created work in response to Street Art with a focus on Banksy and Swoon.
We are so proud of the work our Year 9s have created!
