A large and vibrant comprehensive academy with nearly 2,000 students on roll, Hall Cross provides a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. Our Art, Design, and Technology department is a creative and supportive space where students develop artistic and technical skills across a broad curriculum, including fine art, textiles, photography, graphic design, and three-dimensional design. We offer well-equipped studios, specialist workshops, and digital facilities, enabling students to explore a range of media and techniques. With a strong emphasis on creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking, the department encourages independent exploration alongside structured learning. Opportunities beyond the classroom, such as gallery visits, artist-led workshops, and extracurricular projects, further enrich students’ experience and understanding of the creative industries.
