We love art at Great Totham Primary School! Whether using pencils for close observational drawing, exploring charcoals and pastels to create large collaborative pieces, painting with delicate watercolours or sculpting with clay we really enjoy learning new skills and refining our practice. This meant we jumped at the chance to take part in this incredible competition. The children in Year 5 enjoyed a whole day visit from volunteers from the Blackwater Arts Society which helped motivate the children with their competition pieces. Some drew inspiration from their history topic on the Mayan, some from science work on space and others from their own interests. We hope you enjoy our work.
