Cornwallis Academy is a secondary school in the Heart of Kent. Students are encouraged to experiment in a range of 2 and 3D materials. In their year 9 Art lessons, students took inspiration from the Cubist paintings of the Pop Artist Roy Lichtenstein, to create relief still lives in bold primary colours. Their monochrome self portraits were inspired by the art of the film maker Tim Burton; while the figure paintings of their heroes and alter egos were inspired by the artist Lubaina Himid.
