Bradley Barton is a Primary School in Newton Abbot, Devon. The Year 5 children have been exploring Art across two different topics this term. First, they learnt all about Van Gough and his use of creating texture with acrylic paint- known as impasto. They recreated their own explorative impasto pieces using acrylic. Next, the children studied the Vikings! Inspired by the carvings on the Osberg ship, the children set to work creating their own mythical creatures! Working with biro brought its own challenges which the children embraced whole-heartedly.
