Bartholomew School is a large, vibrant comprehensive school located in the village of Eynsham with over 1300 students in Years 7-11 and Sixth Form, who come from all over Oxfordshire.
It is our aim that students receive an excellent academic education and extracurricular programme in a calm, purposeful atmosphere, which promotes a love of learning and fosters a determination to succeed. We are proudly comprehensive and take huge pleasure in the successes of our students, whether they go on to elite universities, apprenticeships, college or employment. At the heart of our success is wellbeing and we are very proud of our reputation for excellent pastoral care, with compassion central to our ethos. We strive every day to fulfil our mission statement: preparing students for a bright, exciting and happy future.
Students in Year 9 have been working on an Art project inspired by the imaginative ideas of Surrealism and the work of Rene Magritte, Salvador Dali, Julian Beaver and video illusionist Zach King. They explored ways of using perspective creatively to create a piece of work based on the combination of aspects of a landscape and room. Many students really enjoyed developing additional themes to their work.
