Arnett hills is a small primary school on the border of Rickmansworth. Our values of integrity, community and empathy are woven through our curriculum, which is based on quality literature, enriched by the arts and full of active learning experiences. Teachers incorporate the arts into all areas of learning. The current project for our year 5 pupils is linked to their science learning about Earth and space. They have created abstract compositions whilst listening to The Planets Orchestral suite by Gustav Holst. This was inspired by Wassily Kandinsky's use of colour, shape and incorporating their feelings and responses in keeping with children's mental health week.
