New National Partner announced for Art Bytes!

We are delighted to announce our first National Partner for Art Bytes – the University of Liverpool. We will be working together for the next 3 years, as Dr Kerry Traynor from the School of the Arts explains:

“The University of Liverpool’s School of the Arts is proud to support the Art Bytes programme, founded and led by University arts alumnus Lucy Byrne, across the nine regions of England. The School of the Arts provides a range of arts degree programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels including Architecture, Communication and Media, English, Drama, Music, Game Design and Philosophy.

A degree in the arts can lead to a diverse range of exciting careers including architectural design, performing arts, arts management, publishing, journalism, games and media production, public and media relations, digital communications, government and public policy roles, and many more across the creative and cultural industries, which add £25 billion to the UK economy each year. Furthermore, participation in arts and creative activities has been proven to improve mental health and wellbeing, particularly during the recent COVID-19 pandemic, as recently demonstrated by School of the Arts researchers.

The School of the Arts is delighted to be supporting Art Bytes, which supports schools across England to engage pupils and families in arts activities and helps young people understand the tremendous value of creativity not only to their future professional success, but to their mental health and wellbeing.”
